About me
Dave Crowther
I have been involved with first aid courses and delivery of help since the age of 13, over48 years.

During service with the Royal Air Force and The Special Constabulary I occasionally had cause to put my training and skills to work in helping others.

In 1999 I became a community responder with the Ambulance Service, this led to me joining a private Ambulance company in Southampton in 2005. I qualified as an Emergency Medical Technician with them and went on to carryout many ambulance related tasks.
In 2007 I joined South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation trust and trained to be an IHCD Ambulance Technician. Over the next 8 years I worked on double crewed ambulances as well as a solo Rapid Response Vehicle operator. I dealt with all kinds of situations from the beginning of life to its end. Major trauma and simple pick up from the floor.

I attended many situations where mine and the skills of other colleagues were thoroughly tested.
I am pleased to report that on a number of occasions lives were saved and others were improved.
Now I use my experience and skills to train others so they can deal with emergencies confidently and help others in need.
